55 Years of CSRG Vintage Racing
55 Years of CSRG Vintage Racing
David Love was a racer like few others. He began racing in 1950 with a series of Porsches, Morgans and even a Formula Junior. He later purchased the car with which he will always be identified---a 1958 "pontoon fender" Ferrari Testa Rossa and he raced it virtually uninterrupted from the 60s through the 90s at all the important West Coast vintage events.
He and his friends started CSRG, the Classic Sports Racing Group, in 1968. It provided a home for cars that were loved by their drivers but were not competitive in the disposable world of contemporary club racing. Through the efforts of David and the other early pioneers in the sport, 50 years later CSRG is now 500 members strong, with 4 races a year, and is an established leader in vintage competition. CSRG focuses on both great racing , but also keeping vintage and historic cars as original as possible. To learn more about us, see the video below and visit www.csrgracing.org.
